1 box chocolate cake mix (and required ingredients like eggs, oil, etc.)
1 cup crushed Oreo cookies

For the Ghost Pepper Cream Cheese Frosting:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon Ghost Pepper Pepper Puree (adjust to your heat level)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Topping:
1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
Optional: chocolate syrup for drizzling

Prepare Cake: Follow the instructions on the chocolate cake mix box to prepare the cake batter. Add 1 cup of crushed Oreo cookies to the batter and mix well.

Bake: Pour the batter into two greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans. Bake according to the package instructions. Once baked, allow the cakes to cool completely.

Prepare Frosting: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue beating.

Add Heat: Carefully add the ghost pepper puree to the frosting. Mix well.

Add Flavor: Add the vanilla extract to the frosting and mix until smooth.

Assemble Cake: Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of the ghost pepper cream cheese frosting on top. Place the second cake layer on top of the frosting.

Frost: Frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining ghost pepper cream cheese frosting.

Add Toppings: Sprinkle the top of the cake with the remaining crushed Oreo cookies. Optionally, you can drizzle some chocolate syrup over the top for added flavor.

Chill: Place the cake in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the frosting to set.

Serve: Slice and serve the cake, enjoying the unique blend of spicy and sweet flavors.
